About Carly

I am a passionate and people-centered communicator driven by a deep belief in the power of kindness and connection. With a background in psychology and communication, I am committed to understanding how we relate to one another and using that insight to make meaningful impact. My goal is to become a college professor, where I can inspire, support, and empower students both academically and personally. Outside of the classroom, I bring that same energy into my work in hospitality, social media management, and coaching, where creating positive experiences and uplifting others is always at the core. Whether I am teaching, leading, or connecting, my mission is simple: to make people feel seen, valued, and capable of being their best selves.

Passions and Interests

Wildlife Conservation

Since 2018, I have volunteered in Australia with non-profit animal rescue organizations, helping care for native wildlife and supporting habitat restoration projects. Working with these groups has deepened my appreciation for conservation and the importance in protecting fragile ecosystems.

Sports

Soccer has been a major part of my life for over 21 years. In addition to playing, I have coached athletes ages 5-21 and most recently coached the Women’s Club Soccer Team at Saint Mary’s College of California. Coaching has allowed me to mentor players, build strong teams, and share my love for the game.

Photography

I started my own art and photography business when I was 18, and later partnered with my friend to create B&C Photography. What began as a creative passion has grown into a collaborative business where I focus closely on working with clients to design and bring their dream photoshoots to life.

Leadership

Leadership has been a constant thread throughout my experiences. At Saint Mary’s College of California, I taught Physical Education classes, and I have taken on leadership roles through coaching as well as in my professional work as a manager at Canyon Club Brewery. These roles have strengthened my ability to guide teams, communicate effectively, and create positive environments for those I work with.

Social Media

I currently work as the social media manager for Canyon Club Brewery, where I create engaging and creative content that connects with our audience. I enjoy developing unique posts that highlight the brand while building community. Social media gives me the opportunity to blend creativity, storytelling, and strategy.

Travel

I am passionate about traveling and exploring new parts of the world. Experiencing different cultures, environments, and perspectives has broadened my outlook and inspired a deeper curiosity about the world around me. Travel pushes me to learn, adapt, and appreciate diverse ways of life.
